 Each Spring, the Charlotte Chapter of The Compassionate Friends sponsers a very special event to honor the memory of our children. The annual balloon release and pot-luck dinner is a family-oriented affair that is open to old and newcomers alike.

We meet in Room 106 of the New Life Center, located to the right of the fountain at St. Matthew Catholic Church. Notes are available on which to write messages that can be tied to the string of a balloon. Colorful balloons will be provided to everyone by our volunteers. However, if you want to bring a special balloon of your own, please do !

When everyone is ready, we go outside and release the balloons all at once into the evening sky. The experience is beautiful, touching and filled with personal meaning.

Dinner is served afterward.

Please bring a main dish, side dish or dessert to share. Beverages and dinnerware will be provided by the chapter.

Families and friends are welcome. Please come to support your Compassionate Friends.
